2. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Jerni.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Jerni for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Upload malicious content, spam, or harmful material.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the platform without our written permission.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

4. AI-Generated Content

Jerni uses artificial intelligence to generate itineraries, recommendations, and travel information. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational and planning purposes only. It is not professional travel advice.
  • Recommendations may contain inaccuracies. Always verify critical details (opening hours, visa requirements, safety conditions, prices) with official sources before traveling.
  • Jerni is not responsible for decisions you make based on AI-generated recommendations.
  • AI-generated itineraries may include places, restaurants, and activities that may have changed, closed, or moved since the underlying data was collected.

5. Third-Party Services and Affiliate Links

Jerni contains links to third-party websites and services, including travel booking platforms. Regarding these links:

  • Some links are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through these links, Jerni may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.
  • Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Jerni does not guarantee the availability, pricing, or quality of any third-party products or services.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Jerni (trip details, ideas, media, comments). By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and display your content to you and your trip collaborators.
  • Display your published adventures and public profile to other users if you choose to publish them.
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our service.

You can delete your content at any time. When you unpublish or delete a trip, it will no longer be visible to other users.

7. Intellectual Property

The Jerni platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by Gernika Labs LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without our written permission.

8. Pricing and Payments

Jerni is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will notify you in advance and clearly communicate pricing before you are charged. Free features at the time of your registration will remain accessible.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms other users or the platform.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

Jerni is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • The service will meet your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gernika Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from:

  • Reliance on AI-generated recommendations.
  • Third-party bookings made through affiliate links.
  • Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account.
  • Service interruptions or downtime.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Jerni in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gernika Labs LLC, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform or by email. Continued use of Jerni after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
